Heather is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Heather received her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Dayton in 2018, and her Bachelors degree in Marketing from Urbana University in 2010.
Heather has experience working primarily in community-based settings with children, adolescents and their families providing individual and family counseling, and crisis prevention/intervention services as needed. She has also spent time in private practice working with adults of various ages and is knowledgeable with multiple different emotional and behavioral concerns that include, but are not limited to, anger, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, family conflict, life transitions, trauma, self-esteem self- harm and other related areas.
Heather practices from a person-centered approach and trauma-informed lens that is tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. Heather utilizes evidenced-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Informed CBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques.
Heather believes in advocating for mental health needs and helping people tap into their own inner strengths to reach their desired outcomes, whatever that may look like for each person. Heather is dedicated to providing quality care to every individual she works with and recognizes that the healing journey or path to self-discovery starts with a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship.

Heather meets with clients at the Grandview location and via telehealth.
