Charis Williams MSW, LSW
Supervised by Jordan Dellinger LISW-S

Charis is a Licensed Social Worker who is passionate about helping individuals become the healthiest, strongest, and most authentic versions of themselves. She believes that life's challenges, experiences, and struggles do not have to define a person. Rather, they can become part of a larger story of growth, resilience, and healing. Charis is dedicated to walking alongside her clients as they navigate life's difficulties, discover their personal strengths, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

Charis believes that every person has value, purpose, and the capacity for growth. She understands that seeking support can feel overwhelming, particularly when navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, past trauma, or the stressors of everyday life. Her goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted. She recognizes that each person's experiences are unique and believes that effective therapy begins with understanding the individual rather than simply focusing on the challenges they are experiencing.

Specialties include:

  • Anxiety and Depression

  • Trauma and Recovery

  • Sexual Trauma

  • Sexual Addiction

  • Sexual Exploitation and Human Trafficking

  • Relationship and Interpersonal Challenges

  • Stress Management

  • Emotional Regulation

  • Self-Esteem and Personal Growth

  • Coping Skills and Resilience

  • Life Transitions and Adjustment Challenges

Charis utilizes an individualized, client-centered approach to therapy, incorporating evidence-based treatment modalities to help clients better understand themselves, develop healthier patterns, and navigate life's challenges. Her therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Through these approaches, she works collaboratively with clients to identify practical tools, strengthen coping skills, address unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, and develop strategies that support their individual treatment goals.

Charis has a particular passion for working with individuals impacted by sexual trauma, sexual addiction, and exploitation, including survivors of sex trafficking. She recognizes the complex emotional and psychological impact these experiences can have on an individual's sense of identity, safety, self-worth, and relationships. She considers it a privilege to support individuals as they process difficult experiences, rebuild trust in themselves, reclaim their sense of identity, and move toward healing. Her goal is to provide an environment where clients can work through their experiences at their own pace while developing a renewed sense of strength, empowerment, and hope for the future.

Charis believes that meaningful therapeutic change happens through a collaborative relationship built on trust, compassion, authenticity, and understanding. She strives to meet clients where they are, recognize their existing strengths, and help them identify opportunities for growth. Rather than allowing past experiences or present struggles to determine what the future holds, she encourages clients to recognize their ability to make changes and create a life that reflects their values and goals.

Charis understands that taking the first step toward therapy can be difficult. Whether someone is struggling with the effects of past trauma, navigating difficult relationships, managing emotional challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, she wants clients to know they do not have to navigate those experiences alone. She is honored to walk alongside individuals on their journey toward healing, personal growth, renewed confidence, and becoming the person they desire to be.
