Heather is thrilled to be a Clinical Therapist at After the Storm Counseling, LLC. Heather recently relocated back to her (adopted) hometown of Columbus, OH to continue her Addiction Medicine career & education. Heather specializes in co-occurring disorders and is also a Clinical Therapist for an addiction treatment center.

Heather received her Master’s degree from Chamberlain University’s College of Social Work (MSW). Heather completed her second clinical internship in the Crisis Unit at Aspire Health Partners in Orlando, FL. Heather's first clinical internship was in the department of psychiatry at the University of Florida -Shand’s Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. 

Heather has spent 20+ years in advertising/marketing as a first career and this experience made her aware of how people behave. Heather has developed a passion for Addiction Medicine and mental health treatment through my personal and professional experience with mental health and addiction/substance abuse.

Heather's biggest and favorite job is being a mom to two amazing, college-aged kiddos. Heather's daughter is a graduate of The University of Tennessee and her son is a junior at the Savannah College of Art & Design. Heather is also a fur-mom to her 2 rescue cats, Seamus and Rory, and her mini Goldendoodle, Archie.

Heather's undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University School of Journalism and she is an insufferable Buckeye football fan. When it’s football season, you can find her at home games with her college besties. In the off-season, she loves to travel, cook, read nerdy psychiatry journals, write nerdy psychiatry articles, and spend time with family and friends. A self-professed foodie, Heather loves to check out the amazing restaurant scene in Columbus.
